Frequently asked questions
What is a break-even point?
It is the sales level where revenue equals total costs, so profit is zero. Units above that level produce profit, units below it produce a loss.
What counts as a fixed cost?
Costs that do not change with sales volume, such as rent, salaries, insurance and software subscriptions. Variable costs, like materials or packaging, rise with each unit you sell.
